The Kaş City Guides answer the questions every trip here raises: where the locals eat pide and mantı for a few euros, which old-town meze garden deserves a booking, how to see the sunken city at Kekova without a long harbour cruise, which swimming rocks and coves are free, and where to watch the sun go down before a rakı dinner and a late night on the square. Each guide is a short, honest list that tells you why a place earns its spot, what to order or look at and one practical tip, and it opens in your browser the moment you have paid.

Three places from the guides
Bi Lokma Restaurant
Uğur Mumcu Caddesi, above the harbour
A mother and her daughters have run this place for years, and you will often see them rolling vine leaves at the tables by the door. Order the mushroom börek and a spread of home-style meze, and sit in the garden if the evening is warm. Mains cost roughly €12 to €18. From the food guide.
Kekova Island
Off Üçağız, about 45 min east by road
Along the north shore, walls, steps and house foundations of a Lycian town lie in shallow, clear water after earthquakes pulled them under. Swimming over them is forbidden, so glide past in a boat or, better, a sea kayak. From the things to do guide.
Mavi Bar
Cumhuriyet Meydanı 2, the main square
Wooden chairs on the square, rock from the 1980s and 90s and owners who opened up when Kaş was still a hippie stop. Some regulars have been returning for 35 years, and nowhere in town has more character. From the nightlife guide.
Plan your days in Kaş
Day one: walk the old town and the Lycian tombs of Antiphellos in the morning, swim at Küçük Çakıl or take a water taxi across to the decks of Limanağzı, watch the sunset from the ancient theatre, then book a meze garden for dinner and finish in the bars around Cumhuriyet Meydanı. Day two: head east early to Üçağız for a boat or kayak past the sunken city of Kekova and up to Simena castle, or take the Kalkan dolmuş to Kaputaş and carry on to the ruins and sand of Patara. For a rainy or slow day, ride the bus to Demre for the covered church of St Nicholas and the Lycian Civilization Museum, eat mantı in a lokanta back in town and, if it is Friday, wander the market.
