The Paros City Guides answer the questions every island visitor has: which harbour ouzeri deserves the evening, how to reach Lefkes and the old marble quarries without a tour, which beaches stay calm when the meltemi blows and where Naoussa goes after dark. Each guide is a short, opinionated list with the reason to go, what to order or do and one practical tip for every place, and it opens in your browser as soon as you pay.

The six Paros guides
Food guide
26 places
Fish and ouzo on the Naoussa harbour, grill houses in Parikia, a village lunch in Lefkes, the little east-coast ports and bakeries that open at dawn.
Things to do guide
23 places
The castle and churches of Parikia, the north coast around Naoussa, ancient marble quarries, the old mule path from Lefkes and beaches made for walking.
Family guide
22 places
Playgrounds and a pottery workshop, beaches where the water stays shallow far out, small museums for a windy day and food children will actually eat.
Nightlife guide
22 places
Sunset cocktails in Parikia, bars around the tiny Naoussa harbour, three places to dance, Antiparos after dark and quieter nights of wine, beer and film.
Day trips guide
21 places
Nine beaches by bus or a short drive, two coastal walks, hill villages and history, and boats over to Antiparos and Naxos.
Budget guide
24 places
Gyros and bakery lunches under €10, free castles and coast paths, beaches with no sunbed bill and the cheap bus between Parikia and Naoussa.

Three places from the guides
Aranto
Lefkes, on the Parikia to Marpissa road
A village taverna on the edge of Lefkes, with a long terrace looking out over the hills. Expect slow-cooked meat, local cheese pies and vegetable dishes, exactly the lunch you want after a morning on foot. From the food guide.
Monastery of Agios Ioannis Detis
Monastiri bay, Naousa
A small blue-domed monastery right at the water’s edge, across the bay from Naoussa. Climb up to the roof for the view back over the whole bay; a quarter of an hour is enough. From the things to do guide.
Lageri Beach
North coast, past Santa Maria; by car only
A long, untouched sweep of reddish-gold sand with no bars and no sunbeds, at the end of a rough road. Pack water and food, and know that the far north end is used by naturists. From the beaches and day trips guide.
Plan your days on Paros
Day one: start in Parikia with the Frankish castle and the church of a hundred doors, grab a bakery lunch and end with a sunset drink on the waterfront. Day two: take the bus or drive up to Lefkes, walk the Byzantine Road, eat at a village taverna and spend the evening around the Naoussa harbour. For a windy, rainy or slow day: a sheltered beach such as Monastiri, the pottery workshop in Pounta or the small boat across to Antiparos.
