The Procida City Guides answer the questions that come up on every trip to the smallest island in the Bay of Naples: where to eat lemon salad and spaghetti with sea urchins without paying ferry-ramp prices, how to see the walled village of Terra Murata while its sights are open in the morning, which beach has black sand and water that stays warm into autumn, and whether Ischia or the coast around Pozzuoli makes the better day off the island. Each guide is a short, honest list that tells you why a place is worth it, what to order or see and one useful tip, and it opens in your browser as soon as you have paid.

The walled village of Terra Murata, pastel harbours and viewpoints, the Vivara nature reserve, black-sand beaches and the coast seen from a boat or kayak.

Three places from the guides
Ristorante La Pergola
Via Salette 10, above Ciraccio beach
You eat under a roof of lemon branches with the sea spread out below. Order the house antipasto, then bucatini with rabbit, the island’s other signature dish, or a whole sea bass baked with potatoes; mains cost €18 to €28. From the food guide.
Casale Vascello
Via Principessa Margherita 11, below Terra Murata
A fortified 17th-century courtyard where families once locked themselves in when pirates landed. The painted houses with their outdoor staircases are still homes today, so walk through quietly. From the things to do guide.
Aragonese Castle
Ischia Ponte, about 20 min by ferry to Ischia Porto, then bus 7 or on foot
A whole rocky islet tied to Ischia by a 15th-century causeway and covered with churches, a nuns’ cemetery, terraced gardens and cafés. A lift spares you the first climb; give it two hours and about €15 for the ticket. From the beaches and day trips guide.
Plan your days on Procida
Day one: ride up to Terra Murata early, visit the abbey and the old palace-prison while they are open, then walk downhill past the Corricella viewpoint and Piazza dei Martiri to the harbour for a long seafood lunch. Spend the afternoon on the black sand of Chiaia beach and head west to Chiaiolella for the sunset. Day two: take the ferry to Ischia for the Aragonese Castle and the gardens of La Mortella, and save the time of the last boat back on your phone. For a rainy or slow day, cross to Naples for the archaeology museum, or stay put with coffee and lingue at a bar counter and an evening pizza where the locals watch Napoli play.
