The Ragusa City Guides answer the questions every visit raises: where to try scaccia and ricotta ravioli in pork sauce, how to move between the upper town and Ibla without climbing every step twice, which baroque churches and palazzi deserve your morning, and which beach or Val di Noto town to choose for a day out. Each guide is a short, honest list that says why a place is worth your time, what to order or look for and one practical tip, and it opens in your browser the moment you have paid.

Three places from the guides
Ristorante Majore
Chiaramonte Gulfi, 30 min north of Ragusa
A hill-town dining room that has fed the same Sicilian families for generations and still fills up on Sundays. The menu is pork from start to finish, from sausage and chops to risotto and ravioli in pork sauce, with oversized cannoli to close, for around €30 a head. From the food guide.
Circolo di Conversazione
Corso XXV Aprile, Ragusa Ibla
Members still gather in this 19th-century club, and the only way in is a short guided visit of about 20 minutes for around €6. You see the frescoed ballroom, the reading room and the old card tables, with tours every half hour in Italian or English. From the things to do guide.
Spiaggia di Punta Braccetto
Punta Braccetto, 40 min by car
A small sandy cove where the water stays shallow a long way out, which makes it easy with children, and a couple of laid-back beach bars wait where the road ends. It is far calmer than Marina di Ragusa, with protected dunes and pines along the coast to the north. From the beaches and day trips guide.
Plan your days in Ragusa
Day one: take in the view from the top of the Santa Maria delle Scale steps, walk down into Ibla and see the Duomo and San Giuseppe before the churches shut for lunch. Eat in a trattoria, spend the late afternoon in the Giardino Ibleo, then ride the bus back up. Day two: take the train to Modica for the steps of San Giorgio and a chocolate tasting at Bonajuto, or drive to Punta Braccetto for a swim and a long fish lunch in Scoglitti. For a rainy or slow day, pair the free city museum in Palazzo Zacco and the archaeological museum with a guided visit to the Circolo di Conversazione and scaccia from a bakery by the Ponte Vecchio.
