Yes, you can play our Palma game on a cruise stop if you head into town promptly. Ships dock at the Muelle de Poniente terminals or further out at the Dique del Oeste, several kilometres from the centre. EMT bus 1 takes about 20-30 minutes to Plaça d'Espanya, where the hunt starts at the Sóller train station; a taxi takes about 15-20 minutes. The hunt lasts about 2 hours. It fits a normal port day if you go straight there.

Price range: 4.99 € through 19.99 €From the Palma cruise berths to Plaça d'Espanya
- Check your berth. Terminals 1-4 at Muelle de Poniente have the EMT bus 1 stop right outside on Avinguda Gabriel Roca, opposite Club de Mar. From the Dique del Oeste (terminals 5-6), walk about 10-12 minutes to the stop near Castell de Sant Carles.
- Ride EMT bus 1 along the seafront into the centre to Plaça d'Espanya, about 20-30 minutes; pay on board by card or cash. The Sóller train station, our start, is on the square.
- If your cruise line runs a shuttle, it usually drops you near the Cathedral and Parc de la Mar on Avinguda d'Antoni Maura. Walk up through the centre via Passeig des Born and La Rambla to Plaça d'Espanya, or start the game at a stop nearby: the app lets you choose where to begin.
- Official taxis wait outside the terminals and take about 15-20 minutes; rideshare apps do not operate in Mallorca. Walking the seafront takes well over 45 minutes without shade, so ride in and save your legs for the old town.
A Palma port day, hour by hour
- 0:00Off the ship and to the bus stop, shuttle or taxi rank outside the terminal.
- 0:40At the Sóller train station on Plaça d'Espanya: open the app and start the hunt.
- 1:40Around halfway: you have crossed Plaça Major and passed Santa Eulàlia and Sant Francesc on the way down towards the Cathedral.
- 2:40Finish in the old town after La Seu, Plaça de la Reina and the Llotja. Head for a bus stop or the taxi rank.
- 2:50Ride back with EMT bus 1, the shuttle or a taxi, allowing extra time if several ships are in port.
- 3:30Back on board with at least an hour in hand before all-aboard time.
Tips for Palma when time is short
- Check which berth your ship uses: the Dique del Oeste is further out, while Muelle de Poniente has the bus stop right outside.
- The seafront walk back to the ship has no shade, so in summer take the bus or the shuttle instead.
- Taxi queues build up when several ships call on the same day; allow extra time for the return.
- Coming by shuttle? Start the game near the Cathedral and change the order of the stops in the app, so you finish close to the drop-off.
- Palma Cathedral is closed to visitors on Sundays, so plan an inside visit for another day of the week; the game only needs the outside.
- Keep at least an hour between your planned return and all-aboard time, as the berths are several kilometres from the centre.
Why a self-guided game works on a port day
- You start when you step off the ship, not at a fixed tour time, and nobody waits for a group.
- Everyone in your party can follow on their own phone with one booking reference.
- You can stop for lunch or a swim and carry on later, and end the game whenever you need to head back.
- Google Maps guides you from stop to stop, and the game needs no entry tickets.
Palma cruise stop: questions
Can you walk from the Palma cruise port to the old town?
It is possible along the seafront promenade, but long and unshaded; most passengers take the cruise shuttle, EMT bus 1 or a taxi.
Which public bus goes from the cruise port to the centre?
EMT line 1. It stops outside Muelle de Poniente and near Castell de Sant Carles for the Dique del Oeste, and runs to the centre including Plaça d'Espanya, where the Sóller train station is.
Where do cruise shuttles drop off in Palma?
Usually near the Cathedral and Parc de la Mar on Avinguda d'Antoni Maura; check with your cruise line.
Can I use Uber in Palma?
No. Rideshare services are not allowed to operate in Mallorca, so use the official taxis outside the terminal.
Do I need to book a time slot?
No. You book online, receive your booking reference by email straight away and start whenever you are ashore. The ticket has no time limit, so it still works if your ship arrives late or your plans change.
What do we need on the day?
A charged smartphone with mobile data, the World City Trail app from the App Store or Google Play, and your booking reference. A power bank helps on a long port day.
Port and transport details checked in November 2026. Docking positions and timetables change, so always check your ship’s all-aboard time and your cruise line’s port information before you set off.
