Palermo has three self-guided ways to explore, and each starts when you are ready: buy a ticket, open the World City Trail app, and go.
The Palermo Scavenger Hunt and Self-Guided Tour (€11) links the landmarks with a puzzle at each one. The Palermo Escape Game (€11) is an outdoor escape room played in the streets. The Palermo Self-Guided Walking Audio Tour (€9) trades the puzzles for narration. Voice narration is optional on all three.
The routes take in the vibrant Quattro Canti and the majestic Teatro Massimo, in the historic heart of Sicily’s capital. Nothing is scheduled and no guide meets you — the whole thing runs on your phone, any day you like.
