Budapest has three self-guided routes, and all of them start when you choose: buy a ticket, open the World City Trail app, and begin.
The Budapest Scavenger Hunt and Self-Guided Tour (€11) places a puzzle at each stop along the way. The Budapest Escape Game (€11) turns the streets into an outdoor escape room. The Budapest Self-Guided Walking Audio Tour (€9) is the quieter option, narrated as you walk. Voice narration is optional on all three.
The routes explore the majestic Parliament Building, the historic Buda Castle, and the stunning views from Fisherman’s Bastion. Nothing is scheduled, so you can start whenever the weather suits and pause as long as you like without losing your place.
