The route: from the d’Amboise Gate to the Clock Tower
The Rhodes scavenger hunt starts at the d’Amboise Gate and passes through St Anthony’s Gate to the Palace of the Grand Master, then follows the Street of the Knights down to the Archaeological Museum. From Hippocrates Square you continue to the Square of the Jewish Martyrs, the Ibrahim Pasha Mosque and the Suleiman Mosque, finishing at the Clock Tower.
Walking time is only about 30 minutes (2 km). You can start elsewhere or change the order in the app. No entry tickets are needed: every riddle uses the outside of the buildings.

Why explore Rhodes Old Town with a city game
The medieval city of Rhodes is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best-preserved walled towns in Europe. The Knights of St John ruled here from the early 14th century until the Ottoman conquest of 1522, and both eras are still visible: the Street of the Knights is lined with the inns of the order, the Archaeological Museum occupies the knights’ hospital, and the pink-domed Suleiman Mosque recalls Ottoman rule.
A game makes you look closely at coats of arms, gates and façades you would otherwise pass, and the stories explain what you just saw. Everyone plays on their own phone, with no schedule and time for a Greek coffee.
Start early in the morning or in the late afternoon: the Old Town gets hot and crowded around midday in summer.
Wear shoes with good grip; many Old Town lanes are paved with smooth pebbles.
Start the escape game in daylight; bring a charged phone, a power bank and water.
Combine the game with a visit inside the Palace of the Grand Master or the Archaeological Museum, paid separately.
